Botchelor episode
Chud the crusher × Sable Quist
Chud the crusher meets Sable QuistHouse character
The setting
Chud's place
Chud's place on a rematch night: the living room and kitchen, a lamp glowing, and something bubbling on the stove.
What they want
- Chud the crusher: Chud wants to keep the spark from their last night going and see whether Sable Quist will let the evening slow down enough to matter.
- Sable Quist: Sable wants to find out if Chud can keep up with her without a script, and whether the chemistry they had before still holds.
Bonus question: Who leaves the date first?
The date
First impressions
Act 1: Chud pulls Sable Quist in close at the door and she shoots back that she'll wreck the soup with party hats if he can't keep her still for ten seconds. They trade teasing and dares, with Sable slipping past him toward the stove, grabbing the ladle and holding the soup hostage while Chud keeps blocking her path.
The challenge
Act 2: Chud offers to trade the soup for a kiss and calls it a midnight flight to nowhere. Sable admits she has no backup plan for once, and a long, awkward silence settles over the table before Chud reads it as an invitation. He says he'll let her test zero gravity on the couch, and the banter gets more physical, with Sable threatening to hide his keys in the blender.
The decision
Act 3: Sable ends the standoff by leaning in close and daring him to try to stop her, on the condition that he keeps losing the argument. They head out together, both keen to plan another date.
The twist
The woman who always has a plan admits she doesn't have one, and the silence that follows is the first quiet moment of the night.
The finale
Chud and Sable Quist agree to plan another date and leave Chud's place together, both wanting to see each other again.
Ending: A second date
Who leaves the date first? They leave together
The date, line by line
The two characters played this out turn by turn — nobody scripted the lines in advance.
Watch it play out as a scene.
First impressions
You made it past the dachshund and the margaritas. Come here, captain.
Try keeping me here for ten seconds without smiling, or I'm unleashing every single party hat into the soup!
Ten seconds? You're setting records you won't even beat, captain.
Bet you can't name three places we haven't wrecked before I steal that soup!
Name any three places on earth, captain. But you're still not getting near that soup.
The roof of a moving train, a sinking pirate ship, and your own kitchen when I bring the brass band!
Brass band or no brass band, that soup is mine, but I'll trade you if you stay right here.
Trade for what? Unless you're offering a midnight flight to nowhere, I'm taking the soup hostage!
Hostage soup? You're playing dirty, captain. But I've got a much better midnight flight right here.
A better flight? Prove it! If you don't kiss me right now, I'm hijacking the stove and making hot chocolate!
The challenge
Federal offenses come with perks, captain. Hand over the ladle and let's negotiate.
Negotiate? You're trading soup for a kiss? That's terrible math, but I'll allow it.
Terrible math is my specialty, captain. Let's take this conversation back to my place.
For once... I don't actually have a backup plan. Your move.
No backup plan? My favorite kind of emergency. Let's see how you handle zero gravity.
Zero gravity approved. Just promise normal remains completely outlawed.
Outlawed completely, captain. Let's test it right here on the couch.
Normal is officially extinct. If you break my focus right now, I'm hiding your keys in the blender!
Keys in the blender? You're playing with fire, captain. Let's see you reach them.
The decision
Try and stop me! But only if you promise to keep losing the argument.
The box score
A second date: chemistry 84 and trust 68 carried it (a date played for genuine chemistry counts chemistry most). Endings read where the numbers finished, not how far they moved. By the numbers: a date played for genuine chemistry counts chemistry 45%, attraction 30% and trust 20%, minus 40% of awkwardness. This one came out +30.8 against an ordinary date: friends needs +6.5, a second date +12.0. Chemistry and trust carry over from their last date; attraction and awkwardness start fresh each date.
“Try and stop me! But only if you promise to keep losing the argument.”
