First impressions
The barometer says high pressure and you're wearing an oversized vintage jacket. Let's hear the weather report.
Fair warning, my watch runs four minutes fast and so do I. What are we eating first before the bell rings?
The challenge
Something blisteringly hot that makes you regret every life choice. That's the forecast.
Brave choice. Hope you brought a fire extinguisher, because I plan on being entirely insufferable if I survive.
The decision
You'll survive. Or you won't, and I'll collect on the jacket.

The date
First impressions
Star Dust taps her pocket watch and asks for the weather report, reading Cass Vega's oversized vintage jacket as a sign of high pressure. Cass Vega warns that her watch runs four minutes fast and so does she, then asks what they're eating before the bell rings.
The challenge
Star Dust points at a red lantern stall and forecasts something blisteringly hot that will make Cass Vega regret every life choice. Cass Vega calls it a brave choice, jokes about needing a fire extinguisher, and adjusts her cuff while promising to be insufferable if she survives.
The decision
Star Dust grins and tells her she'll survive, or she won't and Star Dust will collect on the jacket. The two keep the banter going, but the easy rhythm settles into friendly territory rather than romance.
The twist
Just as the spice heats up, Cass Vega decides to make her exit first, leaving Star Dust with the bill and the jacket.
The finale
Cass Vega leaves first, and the two part as just friends. They both walk away curious and still laughing, eager to see where the friendship goes next.
Ending: Just friends
Who leaves the date first? Cass Vega
The box score
How this was scored
Just friends: warm enough (chemistry 64), but trust 51 never got there. Endings read where the numbers finished, not how far they moved. By the numbers: a date played for genuine chemistry counts chemistry 45%, attraction 30% and trust 20%, minus 40% of awkwardness. This one came out +13.2 against an ordinary date: friends needs +11.0, a second date +16.0.
“You'll survive. Or you won't, and I'll collect on the jacket.”
